Diabetes Education Classes - Rappahannock General Hospital is offering a free Diabetes Education Class on November 9, 2010 from 9:00-11:00 am. The speakers are Angela Kelly, RN, a nurse educator at RGH and Deborah Walton, RD from RGH's nutritional services. The class will be held in the conference room at the RGH Rehabilitation Services and Sports Medicine Center, which is located on Harris Road in the YMCA complex. The class is designed for people that are newly diagnosed with diabetes and their family members. The instructors teach the basics about diabetes, nutritional facts, and provide the opportunity to ask questions. The class is free of charge but seating is limited. Please call 435-8239 to pre-register. These classes will continue to meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month.
