Assesses patients, develops treatment plans, and provides treatment to patients that are generally medically stable following surgery (orthopedic, general medical, gynocological surgery, etc) or that require hospitalization for other serious illness or medical condition. Develops plans of care, administers medication, provides wound care, monitors and evaluates patient conditions to identify changes and potential problems. Works closely with all levels of medical staff in continuum of care. Assoc/Bachelors Degree from an accredited nursing school. Must be licensed with the VA Board of Health Professions, Certifications required upon hire or within specified period of time; BLS (Basic Life Support). FT night position 7PM-7AM, experience preferred.

Responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, urinalysis and blood bank. The position will involve minimal phlebotomy skills. Requires a degree in Medical Technology or a degree as a Medical Laboratory Technician, registered through a nationally recognized certifying agency. Evening shift. Must be willing to work in any shift as needed including every third weekend.
